Where is the hidey hole in my apartment in Deus ex:human revolution?

I'm pretty sure this new one is a Prequel to the other two, so I doubt you'll need to play the earlier ones to understand it. However, i still recommend you play them, as they're both amazing games.

How good is Deus Ex: Human Revolution's story?
I've read the reviews and seen all the comments, but no one has discussed the story much yet in terms of is it "good" or "deep". The soundtrack sounds deep and haunting and if this is any indication of how the story is, then I want to buy the game. Some of my favorite games are favorites because of the stories (entirely story for Metal Gear Solid haha) I've seen and enjoy how the gameplay is but my question is, how is the story?How good is Deus Ex: Human Revolution's story?
It's a very deep and philosophical story that makes you think about the social and political upheavals in present day. Games usually don't do that. It's mainly about the issue of transhumanism, the role of government, cyberpunkism, issue of all powerful corporations, elite secret socities, and human destiny. The final battle and endings can seem quick though after everything you did throughout the length of the game. Though personally Deus Ex 1's story is still the best and most socially relevant even though it's 10 years old.
If you like Metal Gear then Deus Ex will remind you of it. The level of detail is amazing.
It's not a bad story, if you ask me. What's so refreshing about it is how morality is dealt with in the game.
Most games nowadays have that black/white morality system, where you have choices but it's always either a) feed the puppy and bring it home or b) kick the puppy to death.
In this game, you instead get a conflict between pro-augmentations and anti-augmentations. Choices in the story barely matter in the long run, consequence is almost non-existent (you can kill as many hobos as you like without losing "good points" or any repercussions), but I think the issue is dealt rather cleverly.
It's nothing amazing, but it's at least refreshing. It's not a mindf**k like Metal Gear Solid is.
edit: Also as you may have noticed the voice acting is rather strange. I don't think horrible, just strange. It's better than the original Deus Ex's, but equally memorable in its own way =] Surprisingly enough there is pretty accurate Mandarin voice acting.How good is Deus Ex: Human Revolution's story?

That is something you should take into consideration. Other than that, I found the story to be quite interesting. The beginning felt a little quick and didn't give too much back story. Also some of the voice acting can be painful. Overall I think it's a pretty good story.

I'm not sure whether i should buy it for Ps3 or my PC 2.1ghz i3 (2nd gen) Intel HD graphics card 4 gb ram, or my other laptop which is 2.3ghz dual core but dedicated ati radeon 512mb and 4gb ram. Even if theoretically Adam could shut down the computer without killing them, they would die anyway. They've had their spinal cords severed so they could be plugged into the machine. And they're kept in a hallucination state. So they're pretty much vegetables anyway. Sorry, I wish you could save them too but really it's more of a mercy killing.

Yes, only one recharges because in the original Deus Ex, NONE of the energy cells recharged at all, so I imagine that the team wanted to stay true with this as much as possible, but most gamers today want an easier time, so they made one energy cell recharge. Also, if all the energy cells recharged, and you had the augment for faster recharge, then the game would be completely unbalanced, as you could simply takedown everyone in a room with ease.
You have to consume those energy bars, which I find extremely easy to come by. If you can't find them, then maybe you need to explore more?

Doesn't matter what you choose, the only thing it affects is what weapon you're given to start out with. The hordes of soldiers in the game will drop plenty of Combat Rifle ammo.
It depends which arms dealers you're going to and how far in the game you're at. They'll have more powerful weapons and upgrades later on. You're also supposed to choose your inventory space wisely, and search locked or secret areas for weapons and ammo. Like raiding an arms dealer's self-storage lockup or a gang's cache.
Human Revolution has better weapons and more ammo than the last two games, but you still have to use them smartly. Because Deus Ex isn't a true FPS like Halo or Call of Duty, it's also an RPG, Stealth, and Strategy all in one. So ammo is never plentiful, but there is more than enough ammo to go in guns blazing and kill everyone. I always finish the whole game with lots, and I rarely use stealth...except to get more XP faster or if I'm hugely outnumbered and outgunned. In some areas sneaking around and slowly picking them off would save your ammo and life. With weapon power upgrades, extended clip upgrades, and bigger inventory slots as you upgrade your augmentations...it shouldn't be a problem but you have to be a good marksman. I've played both Deus ex games a hundred times. They are my two favorites. I love the storylines. H and how you travel from and to the countries. I'm doing the side mission - Smash the state, Currently trying to find someone in 3 different locations.

The spot closet to where you need to go would be in the alley behind the Police Station, you may have gone into that alley during the mission for Megan's mother. At the far back of the alley, there is a manhole cover you can move exposing a ladder you can take down. There is also another manhole cover into that same section of the sewers to the left of the front door of the Police Station, in a small alley with another storage unit involved in another side mission.
There is also a separate section of the sewers that can be accessed from within the gang territory where you had to go disable the antenna. It's found in the beginning area before you had to move inside the building leading into the heart of their territory. Letitia says that if you get "magic eyes" (assuming she means smart vision) that you can see through weak walls to see what's on the other side. I got smart vision, but it's not helping me see though weak walls at all. I can track people and computer terminals through walls, but it's not helping me see where the walls are weak enough to break through. If the level design is anything like the first game, it's not free roam in a traditional sense. In every mission you're put into a new large area that you're free to explore to your heart's content, but it's not one big open world. As the game so heavily encourages choice, there are a lot of options on how you go about doing...well...anything. Although if I'm correct there's also somewhat of a "hub world", a base of operations, if you will, where you can explore, take side quests, etc.

How to defeat boss Eliza Cassan in Deus Ex: Human Revolution?
It is not Eliza Cassan, but that girl with the weird hair that has the cloak that comes up right after seeing Eliza Cassan. I tried 10 times before going down to easy, and it's still hard. I have put emp grenades by the generators to bring her health down, then shot around 100 heavy rifle bullets at her, and she hasn't died yet. n deus ex human revolution, Eliza Cassan will "whisper" in Jensen's ears about how to defeat Yelena Fedorova. It took a while to understand her rumblings. In the meantime, let's reflect on Yelena Fedorova. She is the second-in-command to Namir in the attacks on Sarif Industries. To understand her tactics will allow Jensen to defeat her.
Yelena Fedorova will cloak, and make herself invisible. The only way to tell where she is in the near white room is to be close to her. To be close to Yelena Fedorova is too dangerous, as her melee attack will take Jensen down straight away. Alternatively, one could look at the water on the floor of the room to determine if Yelena is advancing towards you. However, she is moving too fast, and it's too hard to avoid her melee, charge and shotgun attacks when she is too close. One suggested way is to look at the radar instead, and see when Yelena turns into an orange arrow on the radar, and prepare Jensen's own assault when she is about to get close.
The options for Jensen's assault include cloaking too, and then attacking Yelena when she can be seen. Press Q and realize the failure of this method, as Yelena will counteract Jensen's sneak attack. Next, one can use the shotgun approach to attack Yelena when she is uncloaked and Jensen is cloaked. However, it does not appear to work. Maybe Yelena's skin and defense augmentation is too strong.
This is when Eliza Cassan's words start to make sense. She is saying that Yelena has the typhoon weapon upgrade made by Sarif Industries. She is also saying that destroying the power generators will temporarily hamper Yelena. Put the two together, and that means that Jensen need to use his Typhoon weapon upgrade. Head to one of the power generators, and position Jensen so that his back is against the power generators. Wait for the Eliza Cassan's warning that Yelena is close by and see this as the orange arrow on the radar. Next prepare to unleash Jensen's typhoon weapon as she is getting really close to damage the power generator. When the power generator is damaged and starts unleashing electricity (Jensen is damaged too), Yelena is stunned. Use the shotgun attack to attack Yelena. Repeat this as necessary depending on the difficulty level of the game. Finally Yelena Fedorova is defeated, and Jensen obtains the Mantis Achievement.

Okay. I have to get this out does anyone else think it is absolutely terrible. I die from one shot to the face on fukn regular difficult I mean come on fs. Another thing the checkpoint system is terrible I'm in the police station then I exit get shot to ***, start again only to be shot to *** again. Aaaaaaaaaaaaa anyone else think it is Terrible.

There are options.
The rocket launcher as mentioned before. It can be accessed by stacking boxes, OR you can sneak through a ventilation shaft which has two access points.
The first is underneath the closest raised platform to the elevator you come down, and the second is in the farther raised platform. Both vents can be crawled through until you read a turn off which will take you to the launcher.
EMP Grenades and EMP Mines will instantly kill the robot as well. EMP Grenades can be found in crates and picked off soldiers both in the facility and in the upper area before you reach the facility. EMP Mines can be made by sticking and EMP Grenade in an empty Mine Template. There is at least one empty Template BEFORE you fly to the facility.
The robot is 250 EXP, so killing it is advised. I don't know if it negates the Ghost reward if you kill it quickly though. . .How do i kill the giant robot in deus ex human revolution?

I'm playing the new Deus Ex Human Revolution, And I'm trying to be stealthy but when i sneak up behind a guy and hold B to do the lethal take down everyone hears it and they come running. I know you can knock them out quietly but i want to kill them. Stealth take downs are always non lethal, there's only one upgrade for take downs and that's the ability to do double lethal/non lethal take downs.

Some older games aren't compatible with Windows 7. You'll have to run it in XP Mode to play it.

Just use close combat techniques to disable the guards, tricky on higher difficulties. grab the weapons they drop and fire at the robot. Be sure to have cover, as it will shred you out in the open. Time your attacks and ensure its attention is on you, not the aircraft.
I did this on the hardest difficulty, with only one grenade and Tranquilizer rifle. It will take a while to get it right.
EDIT: If you are wondering, "killing" the robot does not count if you are going for the non-lethal route achievement/trophy.

How can I set Deus Ex: Human Revolution to run on two cores?
I have a processor meter widget, and when I run the game it shows that one of my two cores is at 100% capacity, and the other is at about 30%. Is there a way to set the game to balance itself across both cores?How can I set Deus Ex: Human Revolution to run on two cores?

Deus Ex Invisible War can't set resolution higher than 1024x768?
I just installed Deus Ex Invisible War on my laptop, and the native resolution of the laptop is 1440x900, however, in Deus Ex It won't allow me to set it any higher than 1024x768. EDIT: If this glitch is affecting you then it's a really rare glitch affecting just a handful of copies. I've been looking online and I've found nothing from EIDOS Montreal confirming this glitch even exists (from their point of view) or that they've done anything about it. So answer your question = NO

Deus Ex, long pauses in conversation, how do I fix this?
I recently got the first Deus Ex for pc and it is running fine however when characters are engaged in conversation there are unnaturally long pauses between what one character says and the other character's reply. Apart from that the game is fine but its just so irritating when you want to get on with the game. I am playing it on my vista 32-bit home premium. Deus ex HM is a shooter that has plenty of freeroam, but you have to be interested in the story and learning new ways to get past objectives so it might get boring to you if you just like being "gung ho" and i have no problem with that, but sometimes it might be better if you go stealthy in some situations :)
Skyrim also has plenty of freeroam, but it is way different it has plenty of customization options and choices of weapons and armor. It will also get you addicted XD

I would like to go ahead and buy this game (maybe without even renting it first) since the storyline sounds intriguing, but I remember when I rented the new Mortal Kombat game I couldn't even play it because apparently I didn't have enough memory. Which is dumb, but does Deus ex human revolution have the same issue? Also, how does one even get more memory on the XBox 360 anyway??

All games take up space on your hard-drive(assuming you have a hard-drive). It's just a matter of how much each game needs. I want to buy Deus Ex: Human Revolution but I've never played the first game. Is it necessary to have played the first game to be able to enjoy Human Revolution without missing out on vital bits of story? No. Its a prequel, so you dont need to know anything about the previous games in the series. The only things you need to know are the general storyline and the world of Deus Ex, which is covered by the trailers they made for the game. I'll link to the trailers below.
I didnt play the originals, and Iv been loving Human Revolution so far. I think Iv sunk about 8 hours into it in one day just from the introduction and the side quests. Really worth buying, you wont regret it. Enjoy!

I loved the first Infamous but I haven't played any Deus Ex game. Deus Ex looks good, but I wouldn't know the story or anything. I usually like to play third person shooters and Rpg games. i have Deus Ex human revolution and Infamous 1 and 2, and i would get infamous 2. the story line is amazing and you will love the ending and all around gameplay. Deus ex is a more strategic game where you might get a little bit frustrated, but is also rewarding.

with InFamous 2 you can only play twice for the game to be a little different (Karma wise) and once you beat the game with both karma's you will lose the will to even play the game (like I did) I platinumed the game in 13 days (if I had NOTHING else to do, I would have gotten it much sooner).
